Security - October 2006

i'm using avira's antivir antivirus and i think it's really cool BUT i have a problem. On the main screen it says that my personaledition classic is valid until 28.02.2007 but under that it says that the license will automatically prolonged about 4 weeks before expiration. What does this mean? Cause this programme is freeware i want to use "forever". does this mean that i can use this antivirus until 28.02.2007 or what?

I need a source code, or an entire web program that bypasses a proxy for a school project.

It needs to be able to bypass a "sonic firewall service" filter system, but it can only be run from a website. Any ideas?

I have tried all of the spyware-virus programs and they say "0" detected but there is TONS of pop-ups (yes I use yahoos pop-up program and it is turned on. There is also an icon that constantly pops up a system performance warning -an ad to download some bogus software. WHAT DO I DO. Can My computer be saved. Any help appreciated! :)

Norton has activated some parental block without my permission and it is blocking everything. I can only get a few sites and am unable to remove program because it says I am not logged in as admin. I want this crap off my computer (this is my personal pc)... I have tried several things including regedit and removing every instance of norton, however there must be 10000's because I cannot seem to get them all. How the hell can I get the rights back and delete this miserable program from my computer?

I can't remove it from add/remove programs. I've tried removing it from windows components, won't work either. Can just delete it because it's running in the background. How do I force it to quit running so I can delete it. NO. I can't use IE7 because I don't have service pak 2.

When I select log viewer it lists the categories but they are empty. I have the verbose logging option ticked too. All helpfull suggestions gratefully received. (and yes I have tried googling the problem and tried Symantec's site for support!) Thanks!

hi, my PC infected by a virus but i don't know what i must do.
when i open a folder ( for example Newfolder01 ) when i came back that folder renamed as Newfolder01.exe . i scaned it by updated PcCillin and McAfee 2007 but this problem still exist. What can i do.
