When I select log viewer it lists the categories but they are empty. I have the verbose logging option ticked too. All helpfull suggestions gratefully received. (and yes I have tried googling the problem and tried Symantec's site for support!) Thanks!

i had same. it was active x that hadn't been started.or yours may not of downloaded.do a search on your activex programmes see whats running,or if its there.or go to norton main panel click on firewall,on the bottom click config,then on top bar click programs look for scan for all running programes this will find activex for your norton. tick all boxes.click add,then you know whats running behind your back,you have opptions to block em or watch em

Hi,
Are you using a privacy tool? CCleaner by any chance? Check to see whether the application logs for Norton Internet Security aren't being deleted...beyond that, it will be another Norton bug

In the properties screen (Dash board) of NIS, you can change the way this happens.
Just tick the box saying Keep Logs.

Thats ridiculous, Symantec have got your money and won't help! Try e-mailing customer services.
