Me and my friend have been emailing each other about confidential things and we think her partner has managed to read one of my emails to her. We can't be certain but basically she was discussing her problems with me (mostly about him) and the things he's been saying to her suggests her knows what we've been discussing. Is it possible he could have over-ridden her password or hacked into her emails somehow? It's bugging us!

I was cleaning my computer space, and upon coming the Program Files folder @ C drive, there's this program called "netmeeting" that I clearly never heard of and never downloaded. So there was a bunch of random files in that folder, and finally an install file for "Net Meeting". So it's not installed in my computer...yet. I tried to delete that folder, but i says I can't do it, because I couldn't, with an alert saying that someone or something is using it. I went into the folder and deleted everything, which strangely it "worked". Emptyed the rubbish bin, rechecked the "Net Meeting" folder and all the files I deleted magically reappeared.

On my bittorrent, the blue bar at the top says I'm downloading something.
But I hadn't issued any files to download.

I'm getting paranoid..,but my anti-virus/spy says I got nothing infected...

When I log on my YM. then message and link keep sending out to all my contact list address. It happens once every couple minutes if I keep my YM on. I had tried to run the Spy ware and Anti virus. Some virus were found and killed (Virus name somekind like Win32.multidrop.Y. somekind like that) Also I removed the YM and IE, then re-installed. But it still there. So whoever know how to fix it, please advice. Thanks.

After the warning (from the small red shield icon in the taskbar), I checked the firewall settings as well as the Internet Connection firewall settings in the control panel, all were firewalled. What is wrong?

The admin account DOES have a password on it... thus I CANNOT get into Safe Mode! That's the question... they don't know the password to the Admin account so I can't get into safe mode to disable the password on their main account.

In short, I'm stuck on the login page and can't get anywhere...

My original question:
My cousin's computer has started asking her for a Windows XP username and password. Only 2 people use and have access to the computer and neither one of them set it up this way (trust me, even if they wanted to they wouldn't know how.) Would it be a virus? How can they get around it? I'm going to go look at it for them today, any tips/hints for me? Thanks!

My 2nd part of the question:
What if when I restart in Safe Mode they don't know the password to the Administrator account? I know that once I'm in there I can just go into their account and remove the password, but what if they don't know what the password to the Administrator account was when they set up the computer? Is there any way around that or do they have to reformat at that point?

Any of you familiar with abuse@yahoo.com that might have been an e-mail you received from either hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail, etc...? Well, I know it's some type of computer virus, and I accidently opened it up. Not only that, but I even replied to that e-mail. But my HP computer has anti-spyware, virus protection, MCAFF. Should I delete my reply towards that e-mail and the e-mail itself or will the virus continue to spread throughout my computer? Also, should I defragment and clean out my computer so that way nothing else doesn't get infected with the virus?
