When I log on my YM. then message and link keep sending out to all my contact list address. It happens once every couple minutes if I keep my YM on. I had tried to run the Spy ware and Anti virus. Some virus were found and killed (Virus name somekind like Win32.multidrop.Y. somekind like that) Also I removed the YM and IE, then re-installed. But it still there. So whoever know how to fix it, please advice. Thanks.

Restoration is the best way to make u'r system s well s YM before. U can move u'r important files to a drive and make it off for system restore. To turn off drives for system restore go to 'System Properties' and click on 'System Restore' tab. Then click on the desired drive where u put only files no programs and u're sure there's nothing harmful. Then click on Settings at the right side and mark 'Turn off system restore on this drive'. Now u'r files r safe.
Click on Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore. Now go to the date where u'r YM was working perfect and there was no virus on your computer. Go on by pressing next. U'r computer will need to restart. And I'm sure u"ll find YM fine now. And I belive all u'r virus is now cleaned. But u'll need to install those programs again what u installed after the date of restoration.
Good Luck....

The problem here is that the Trojan that you have on your system will require a regedit to remove it.

The process is rather complicated and very risky, for an amateur to handle it.

If you have the XP installation disc available, I'd suggest that you format and reinstall the OS. This is less risky, easier and faster.

You will lose all the data on that drive, but then, evrything there is already useless because the Trojan Spread will have already infected most of the files there. So, you see, there's not much you can save, as it is.

Anyway, since the only other alternative is to format the disc and reinstall the OS, I'll give you the steps that'll help you get rid of it manually.

Please do understand and agree that the advise given here does not in anyway make me liable for any damages due to your omissions and commissions.

Registry Editing is a job for professionals, not amateurs. Please follow advise carefully.

Please go to Start and click on it.

Go to Run and click on it.

In the dialog box that appears, please type in regedit and hit Enter.

In the Registry Editor Panel that opens, please click on Edit.

Move your cursor down in the drop down menu that appears and click on Find.

In the dialog box that appears, please type in the name of the program you want to find, like, for example, multidrop; and hit Enter.

In the right hand Panel, select the values that appear with this name and delete them one by one by single left clicking on the value and then single right clicking there and choosing the option Delete and single left clicking on it.

When all the values have been deleted, go back to Edit and click on it. This time select the Find next Option and click on it. Type in the same multidrop again and hit enter. Again, do what you did earlier by selecting and deleting the values that have the name on the right hand side panel; that appear.

Continue doing Find Next and deleting the values till it shows no more values to delete.

As the Trojan lodges itself in numerous places, you might have a lot of deleting to do.

When you are certain that you've deleted all the traces and values relevant to the Trojan, exit the Registry Editor and reboot.

This time, I'm sure you'll find the computer is clean and the next time you have a pesky Trojan who cannot be easily removed, you know how to manually remove it.

All the best.

Cheers.

PS,

Please make sure that you have the name of the Trojan absolutely correct when you type it in in the Search Find and Find next. Do not delete values which do not contain this virus name; because Win32 will get you a lot of Win32 files which are not related to this Trojan, too. Please check carefully, before deleting. Also, when starting this procedure, please disable System Restore so that it doesn't save the Trojan. Enable System Restore after rebooting and making sure that it's totally gone.

The Registry Area is a dicey palace for amateurs to fiddle around since deleting the wrong file or folder can have disastrous results. Please exercise extreme caution.

If you can get the name of the virus then you can do a google search to see how to manual remove it. Sometimes virus scanners don't remove they just detect it. I would try a couple spyware scanners cause sometimes they pick up what some that the others missed.

If you must use a Yahoo IM then use Gaim instead for the time being it has the ablitiy to use send and use yahoo IM
