i have a trojan virus and loss of 50% of computer. plus adware apps, how do i remove this rubbish, and speedup

Before attempting to remove malware you must switch off System Restore as back up files will be hiding in there, and it will just restore itself. Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.

Then beef up your security. Its easier to prevent malware getting on to your sytem in the first place rather than trying to remove it.

You need to install one firewall.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out. Both these firewalls are free for personal use and stop unwanted incoming and outgoing traffic.

You just might as well forget the remaining 50% because, by now, that's infected, too.

Just reinstall the OS and format the disc when you're doing it.

Sorry, but that's the fact. It's a little late in the day to be thinking Anti-Virus, now.

I'd suggest you download and install Avast, a free home users license AntiVirus Program that's very good, when you've completed reinstalling the OS. You can get it at http://www.avast.com

None of the free programs will completly remove a trojan. It will just keep re-loading itself again and again.
my best sugestion for you is to visit http://www.webuser.co.uk/ go into the forums and post a hijack this log. Full instructions are given and the guys on there are very proffessional and helpfull. This would be the best bet to get rid of it all together and to get your computer running fast again

Is it a little yellow triangle with a ! in the middle if so you have a virus and if not then i suggest you go here and download and scan or got to lava soft and download and scan with ad_aware SE personal

determine the name of your virus, try to find a removal tool and download and run on your pc. try to boot in safe mode, go to start menu select run type msconfig, go to the startup tab and look for the virus name uncheck the box next to it. download and install spybot search and destroy, and adaware personal se use both for removal of spyware, etc. remove any file sharing programs such as kazaa morpheus, etc. and stop surfing porn sites!!!

download adaware and spybot search & destroy then do a system defragment (Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter) then get an Antivirus Software and keep it updated regularly (AVG has a decent free AntiVirus) if that doesn't help then Format your computer

instal a antivirus prog .like norton or Kaspersky it's free for 30days and then u update the antivirus and scan your pc...then when he find them the viruses u delete all files founded....and then reinstal de wind xp or what u using...
