I can still log on with my admin name and pass, but it shows that I am a guest. Can I do somthing like reinstall xp?

One month ago, I updated my Mcafee anti virus which was downloaded freely from internet. After two days, my computer has become dark. Very rarely I get colour pictures. I think it is because of phishing. How to recover from it?

Can you find out who a person is, if you know their IPs??? Will you find out their names and such? Does your IP reveal a lot ?

i used norton spyware to removve it. but it keeps on returning. it is present in hkey (i.e the registry keys) but i am unable to find it and delete it

This is so annoying. Sometimes, my computer will restrt when I just log on or it will do it when I'm working on a project or surfing. It keeps on saying the Remote Processing Console (RPC), has unexpectedly terminated. ITs been happeing for like 2 months now, and its frustating when I'm working online. It says to save all work and there is a time and it will count down from like 50 secs. Sometimes, when this happens, my computer detects a worm and I keep deleting them. I dont get why my comp does this. I just want to run it over with my car after smashing it into 2000 pieces!!!

My friends computer has become infected with spyware or a virus. He is running Windows XP on a Compaq. Theres a little dialog box popping up constantly that says theres a virus on the computer. When you click on the box it redirects you to a spyware remover page. Obviously its an attempt to sell this product. How can I remove this and stop all these pop ups? I was thinking about manually cleaning the registry. How would I go about that? And what about those programs in the Add/Remove programs in control panel that just wont go away? I need to get this junk off his computer. What do I do? Without spending money that is.

I've tried spybot, avast.com avg free, spywaredoctor.com. ez anti-virus (with my internet provider) etc. etc. My internet provider customer service didn't seem to know what I was talking about with a trojan horse and said they'd sent a "ticket" to a specialist and get back to me in 1 to 2 business days. Help!

Is anyone having this same problem? I think someone may have broken into my email. I try to reset my password as I am having password problems. It asks me for my date of birth and zip code which I am inputting but I am getting blocked out. Please help as I've had my email account for almost 10 years and I am job hunting currently and expecting some email. Urgent help needed. Is there a number where I can reach yahoo customer service? I recently signed up for music downloads at Limewire.com. The icon on my desktop says Frostwire. I'm using a laptop with a wireless internet connection, and Frostwire will only let me get a few songs at a time before it loses its connection, and then I have to go unplug my modem before I can use the internet again. Does this have something to do with firewall? If so, can someone tell me how to disable firewall for Frostwire only? I looked briefly for the Frostwire port number but haven't found it. I only know what my computer can tell me about firewall (if that's even the problem). Something about adding a port and its number. Thanks.

I am an Indian guy whoz working in Europe as SAP Security Consultant. And I have 4 Years of IT Exp. Due to certain reasons I c'dnt finish my graduation but I studied all 16 years in college. As the company I am working for and the country I am in doesnt need the graduation to do this job I am here. I have CISSP and I am a SAP Certified Security Consultant for Netweaver. And I have MCSE, CCNA and CWNA. but no graduation (I mean to say degree). In my country its almost next to impossible to get the job without graduation, even if I have those many valuble certifications. Can any one please let me know, that can I get a job in US and wouldnt be a problem for visa (H1). or is getting a job in US is as difficult as in India without graduation.

In my opinion, as SAP Security people has got very demand in US, I may get a job..but not sure of it...Please help me in building my career further. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have someone who wants to buy an old BMX bike from me. But I've only sold 2 things on eBay, and like having the eBay guarantee that protects both seller, and buyer. How would I go about selling directly to a buyer? Naturally I want to get my money, but I would also want the buyer to get the bike, and be happy with it. I take my personal integrity very seriously, but don't want to ship a bike, and then not get payed. Does anyone know of a way of sell on line, that would protect both the seller, and buyer?
