A really good free program to use to get rid of trojan horses and viruses alike is AVG free. It will search every exstention on your computer. I set my work up with that program and have had no problems.

What is the name of the Trojan? Some of these require special programs to remove them, i.e. SmitFrauds can only be removed by special programs for them.

ewido is the best trojan removal for many trojans. You can download it here:

http://www.ewido.net/en/

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

Start Ewido. When you run it the first time, you get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK.

On the main screen, click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start Update button.

After the Update finishes, the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful".

-- If you have problems updating see here:

http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

Once the updates are installed do the following:

Click on Scanner

Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:

- Binder
- Crypter
- Archives

Click on Start Scan and let Ewido scan the PC

While the scan is in progress, you will be prompted to 'Clean files', click OK.

I also recommend you use the procedure here and use ewido instead of the programs listed. It is important to do the items listed to the best chance of removal.

google "tom coyote forum" there you can get a program called "hijack This" once you download the program, you run it. It will create a log file, you then copy and paste that log file into the tom coyote forums. They will pinpoint every little thing that is wrong with your computer and give you step-by-step instructions on how to remove/fix it.

It sounds way more complicated than it is. They are awsome there and have totally fixed my computer to a like new condition a few times.

Oh, and it's totally free... you may want to make a donation once you do it and find out how helpful it was...but you don't have to donate...
