I recently signed up for music downloads at Limewire.com. The icon on my desktop says Frostwire. I'm using a laptop with a wireless internet connection, and Frostwire will only let me get a few songs at a time before it loses its connection, and then I have to go unplug my modem before I can use the internet again. Does this have something to do with firewall? If so, can someone tell me how to disable firewall for Frostwire only? I looked briefly for the Frostwire port number but haven't found it. I only know what my computer can tell me about firewall (if that's even the problem). Something about adding a port and its number. Thanks.

Thanks guys, I think I've got it from some old blogs or something (6346). Fingers crossed.

p.s. Why are the songs with the most sources IMPOSSIBLE to download? It says "Need more sources." What? I'm choosing songs with, like, 80 next to them. That's good, right?

I had that problem with Limewire. Im pretty sure I fixed it by opening up the ports on my router. You will need to open the specified port(s)(in tools->options->network or something like that) on any routers between the program and the internet gateway. Or, if your router supports it, select "use UPnP". You will also have to allow Limewire/Frostwire to have full access in windows firewall or whatever security firewalls you have installed. Sorry I cant give a better, more in-depth answer but my usually computer is about a thousand or two miles away.

hi. i also had the same problem a few months but i realised the problem had nothing to do with my computer or software i am using. the problem was with the belkin wireless router. whenever i downloaded something its lights jus turn from green to orange then i lose my connection. i tried changing firewall setting and port numbers but no joy. if that is your case then u might have to ring belkin and they will replace the router.
