I have a Compaq Handheld PDA that I am giving away to charity. How can I erase all personal data?

Reformat your hard drive. Compac provides a disk with your system that does this for you.

Follow the "hard reset" or "factory default" reset procedure in the owner's manual. That should clear all personal data on it.

these use flash memory ... contact Compaq for the procedure ... its not as secure as you think
