There's this annoying thing flashing on my icon tray. It keeps saying security alert i have spyware in my computer blah blah blah...

It's so annying and it keeps opening new windows and asking me to buy their freakin' antivirus software! But I don't wanna buy!

It says my computer's infected, but I think they are the spyware as I didn't install anything on my computer, it's annoying me so much!
It's just stuck on my computer and wont leave!

I tried to get rid of it in Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel but it's not even there, it's probably hidden somewhere on my comp.

Please help!

i keep on getting notice that my computer has a virus from unknown spyware which i dont even have downloaded on my computer. i tried to delte it from control panel. i also ran AdAware Spyware software n also Norton Antivirus.i even deleted cookies from adaware and also from internet options. but i still get that popop type notice to buy different antivirus and spyware. norton couldnt even detected it. so is there any way to remove that annoying thing from my pc. i m using XP Pro edition Sp2. i cannot ever restore my pc to previous date. i dont know why ? so somebosy please help me.

I want to blog about issues I don't want associating with my 'work' self. How do I choose a blog host that has a good anonymity record, in other words, I don't want it to be easy for people to match up my IP address or access my personal details.
Also, having set the blog up, how do you encourage high volume visitors?
I've only used LJ before and I want to try something a bit different, but anonymity is the biggest issue for me. Would welcome suggestions of good free blog hosts.

I have tried everything to get rid of this pest. My home page has been blocked telling me to install this system doctor crap, I keep getting 2 pop ups, and other funny things on my pc. Nortons, ad-aware etc will not touch it. The above link claims to get rid of it, but is it all part of the same scam???

My friend let slip his yahoo email password so i tryed it when i got home and i got into his email section i told him the next day and he said his computer automatically has sent my computer a virus when anyone hacks in and it is going to wreak havoc slowly over the next days and weeks. my lasp top is forever poping up with these errors and asks me to click yes or no if i want to proceed, but i have to keep clicking on them until the page fully loads. im not sure what settings i need to amend to stop these from poping up, including the security certificate error pages, which advises me that there might be a security issue with the web sites certificate. they drive me mad!!

I am using windows XP and the anti-virus I am using is Norton. However I have a trojan virus on my computer which Norton cannot remove. I have downloaded a trial copy of Trojan Remover, but when I scan my computer it cannot remove the trojan virus.
What can I do?

Do you have any suggestions for a good free anti trojan software.
