First of all, McAfee is one of the best antivirus applications and you SHOULD keep it. For your questions, no dont install more than one "Security Center". However installing Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, Windows Defender is a good idea to proctect you against malware. McAfee has its own antispyware if you wanna buy that too. However Windows defender, adaware, spybot are all very good choices. To keep your computer fully Secure, Install McAfee's Firewall and AntiVirus, and go to www.download.com and install Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Windows Defender. update and run them regularly.

I reccomend not using McAfee at all. Or Symantec for that matter. All the major Anti-Virus providers have been proven to be 80% ineffective at stopping malware, http://www.zdnet.com.au/blogs/securifythis/soa/Why_popular_antivirus_apps_do_not_work_/0,39033341,39264249,00.htm The only one mentioned by name in the study was Kaspersky, Anti-Virus, http://www.kaspersky.com/ which managed to block 90% of the malware applications. As long as you are going to pay for something, you may as well pay for something that works. And no, it is never wise to use more than one anti-virus application at a time, they may conflict with each other.

It seems Narek didn't read my link. McAfee and Symantec and the bane of my existence. I'd rather have AVG (and I do) than those excuses for protection and poor excuses they are.
