Hi, spyware is a disgusting and infamous kind of virus. perhaps you can try Norton and Mcafee to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar, which can disable the virus, becasue the virus can only run on IE.

firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and spyware, adware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Oh both my brother and dad had this happen to their computers. A virus scanning program won't delete this annoying virus. You have to go into your registry and manually remove the infected files. A couple of websites that are helpful are http:/wikicastlecops.com/malware_removal:_spyaxe_removal
and www.spywareremove.com/removespywarequake.html

Good luck.

Go here and follow this procedure. You must use this procedure to remove most of todays malware. Don't worry that it talks about Spyware removal. It is used no matter what Anti-Malware programs you use. Run the programs she lists and the ones you have following this procedure. Read it first and then do it. Be sure to use one of the Registry repair programs she lists after removing the malware. Also follow the procedure to reset your restore point.

i got that too, it's not a virus, its just an annoying popup that has imbedded itself somewhere on your hard drive. it want you to click to download an bnch of stuff that you dont ever want on your pc.
next time it happens, before you delete it, write down what it is, and do a file search for it, find it then delete it.

The best advice I can give you is to go to Grisoft.com and get both E-Wido antispyware and AVG-Free.
They both have auto update and most importantly, they are free.

They are also very effective !
