How do you entertain yourself on the net? What sites besides games / chat groups / ebay / youtube / itunes/ and google earth do you visit that you find fantasticly entertaining?

I'm looking for different venus to my computer usage.

I am talking about the thing in the lower right corner of the start bar.

I use start, run, msconfig, to get to the menu.

But, there are a lot of items on the menu which i do not recognize and do not load an icon in the corner.

Which of these can i remove?

the ones i dont recognize have locations of something then
microsoft windows\current version\run

My computer recently stopped working, so I took it to Staples and they said it was essentially dead, but the could retrieve the data and they put it in an external hard drive (an acomdata, 3.5" hard drive enclosrure).
But the problem lies in trying to open it. I'm operating on XP, my computer knows it's there because when I plug it in it makes a noise, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It won't let me install the software because it says I don't need it.
And the "safely remove hardware" icon was in the tray but when I opened that, there's nothing there.

Also whatever's inside is rattling around, is that good?

Does anyone have any ideas, I really want to get my files off it!

I accidently blocked an email address in Outlook Express. Now I can't find the application that will let me unblock it.

Also, I asked my utility company to email my statements but I haven't received any. They say they've sent them and to check my spam folder or junk mail folder. My Outlook Express doesn't have either one of these folders. How do I find something the system has blocked?

Any real help is appreciated.

when i type something on google and then clicked on search, it records, ok lets say i typed run in google search when i close the window and open google and then type r it says run anderneath like for info i think how can i remove it?

It has a place in the CCleaner program to either uninstall programs (which I know I can go to add/remove to do this, I don't need that) what I need is to know is where it says STARTUP you can click on this and delete selected items, well does this delete from your computer entirely or just start up? I have several things that load at start up and it is nerve racking and I need to figure out how to stop it,,,Thanks

whenever a application or internet explorer freezes or is not responding or whatever i hit ctr alt delete, then i highlight the thing, hit end task, then end now. but, when i hit "end now" in takes like 30 seconds to actually end it, is there a way to fix it so it ends it after i click the button, or is this normal? why does it do this. any info would help. ALSO dont say "just go to processes and hit end process and hit yes, ive been doing that and its not a good idea b/c it works, BUT it turns that entire process off.

fore example- lets say norton is not responding for some reason, using end task will get me out of there. end proccess works all the time BUT only because it shuts down the whole process and brings me back to the desktop.

When you purchase a new disk drive, and transfer everything from your old drive onto your new drive, everything in your old drive, icluding your browser, anti-virus program etc. can be simply transferred without having to reinstall anything. Am I right? That's what I was told by a dealer.
