Yes, the standard there is 230V at 50Hz. You will need an adapter that will work with this, they also use a different style plug. If you check sites belkin.com or targus.com you might find something there.

My best bet is please try not too use them they damage a lot of American appliances even with that adaptor. I had the adaptor in my T.V and it keep coming on and off so I took it out so my T.V did not get messed up I also used it on a medical device and it blow the hole thing so if you live in housing just use the American plugs and if you live off post just buy German you'll save money that why. But yes it is the 2 prongs if you are really determined to use them. Good luck.

you will need an adapter. They use a different type of electricity than we use here in the states so you'll need an adapter. Our plugs won't fit in their outlets over there either.
