that is happening to my mouse too! I'm beginning to think it's a virus...in fact, I'm running a virus scan right now!

Could be the updates on Answers making it slippery, since it's happened to others, including me. The freezing though might mean you need to clear out your computer - too many folders/files/programs running at the same time. Do some checking and see if you can send some unwanted or unused stuff to the Recycle Bin, to lighten the load!
