Recently I had tried updating a driver for my sound card. This is an old card by Ensoniq, now taken over by Creative Lab? Because of having trouble loading the new driver I've gone back to the old driver, except that the legacy devise maybe an updated version of the driver. The card is known as PCI Audio 128 and the Device Manager says "The configmg.vxd device loader for this device could not load the device driver" (Code 2)for the Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 Legacy Device. Does anyone out there know how to fix this. Right now I dont have the money to go get another. Ive tried a few from driverguide and nothing is working. Still on win98se sux but its alright

Anyone know what these folders are in the Windows\Temp folder?

The names are always just 10 digits, e.g. "1189936857" and have always been empty when I check (with all the options to view hidden folders/files & system files ON). I'm running Windows XP.

From the time-stamps it looks like one is created every time I boot up - Any ideas, please???

(They SEEM to delete without any side effects OK, so far!)

When I put a CD into my computer to view family pictures or even listen to music, it appears that there isn't a CD in my computer. I will then go to My Computer and there it still shows me that there isn't a CD in it. I can't afford to have it fixed so can someone tell me what is going on? Please!!!!

I have this program installed called Skype 1.2. I have no clue as to what it is. Don't even know how it got on my PC.

Im trying to get rid of it by going to add/remove programs but everytime I click to remove/unistall it tells me the file does not exist. What the heck is going on

anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this crap. everytime I turn on my PC it pops up and I can not get rid of it

Okay so, I run Windows XP and I recently re-formated my computer. Before I did it, when I opened up my control panel or my pictures or my documents or something, the page would have a vertical taskbar thing on the left side about an inch or so wide, that I could use to create a new folder, or rename something or something. It was NOT the search tool, but looked similar to that. However, it's not there anymore and I've looked everywhere to try to get it back. Help?

I will watch a movie on my computer, and i basically have to put my head as close to my computer as possible..hah. and i've checked the icon on the bottom right of my screen to see if it is turned up all the way, and it is. Also, i've tried redownloading my flashplayer...any ideas?

I heard on TV there is some way you can show on your TV set what you have on your computer screen. How is the picture transferred? Is it by a kit or what? If it is a kit, do you know the name of it? Where it can be purchased ? If it can be done but not by a kit what material is required and how it is done. Thank you.

I have some mp3 music files on a dvd RW disc which I am trying to transfer back on to my PC I have done this several times before so I know I am doing it correctly , but for some reason when I open the E drive to view the files on the disc and try to then highlight them it will only highlight the first few then it freezes, I need to put these on my pc then transfer them back to the disc.I have re- installed WMP 11 and done virus checks and everything else you can think of but it makes no difference can anyone help please, I am really desperate. Thank You in advance for any answers.

Ok so ive burnt onto a cd using Nero before and had no problems.So what is going wrong now.

Im clicking on make an audio cd.
Im burning on a cd-r
Im playing the cd on a household cd player that plays other cd's ive burnt ok in the same way.

But now NO SOUND on the new burnt cd.

The program QuarkXpress is installed on the computers in one class at this college, and I tried to email it to myself so I could use it other places (i.e. in the lab), but I got a message saying that the file is too large. So is there a way to break the program down into 2 or more files so it will be small enough to email?
