Okay so, I run Windows XP and I recently re-formated my computer. Before I did it, when I opened up my control panel or my pictures or my documents or something, the page would have a vertical taskbar thing on the left side about an inch or so wide, that I could use to create a new folder, or rename something or something. It was NOT the search tool, but looked similar to that. However, it's not there anymore and I've looked everywhere to try to get it back. Help?

Never mind, someone else told me how to do it. For the record, all of you were WAYYY off, I got it by going to "Tools", "Folder Options", and then clicking Show Common tasks in folders.

Click the "Folders" icon on your tool bar. This will toggle between the views in your "My Computer" (windows explorer).

Open a blank WORD doc

► Right click the tool bar below the drop down menus

►Open the tool bar you desire

►On the left side of the tool bar is a vertical light grey bar, left click on it

►Hold & drag it to the left or right side of the screen
