I have some mp3 music files on a dvd RW disc which I am trying to transfer back on to my PC I have done this several times before so I know I am doing it correctly , but for some reason when I open the E drive to view the files on the disc and try to then highlight them it will only highlight the first few then it freezes, I need to put these on my pc then transfer them back to the disc.I have re- installed WMP 11 and done virus checks and everything else you can think of but it makes no difference can anyone help please, I am really desperate. Thank You in advance for any answers.

Also my pc is only 8 months old and I have loads of disc and memory space left on it.

Valid reasons by the previous posters.
Another reason may be that the DVDRW disc has become scratched or somehow defective. Try it on another PC. If it does the same thing on another PC, then the problem is with the disc itself.

Have you changed your antivirus software lately? I suspect it is virus scanning your music files. It might be instructive to go to the edit menu and "Select All" to see if it locks up longer.
There is a possibility some other program is preloading the files in case you are going to play them.

Hi,
What are you tiring to do Drag them off the disk and then Drag them back again, Just copy the files you want and paste them onto your hard Drive folder. I really need more info sorry.
