My computers just started to play about when I try and type a capital letter in Internet explorer or word.

Depending on the letter pressed it will close the current window, open a random program like webcam or media player, or shut all the open windows and ask it I want the shut down the computer. This also applies to special characters like the at symbol and question marks.

I’ve checked the language settings for the keyboard and they are set to English, United Kingdom.

I’m using windows xp pro, and a Logitech mx3000 wireless keyboard, and I’ve changed all the batteries and tried re-connecting the wireless device, but it has no effect.

It’s properly some sort of virus but it's really starting to annoy me now as i keep closing an open window halve way through typing a message and losing the message.

Any ideas

Compaq connectionsis unable to access its data directory. It is either invalid or unreachable, or there is another program accessing it. This appears everytime I restart my computer. How do I fix this?

i copy and paste bits from websites on microsoft word and save them on my usb memory stick. when i get home i try to open them on my laptop. it has vista whilst the one in college has xp. when it opens it doesnt give me the full article or only half of it. should i save it on wordpad so it opens on my laptop with its nightmare vista??????????????

swooo!!!! krrrr!!!! thats me throwing my cpu out the window I think I'll call it computer crash. have done everything I can think of to get my cpu running at its original state I have done all of the test that I know and I dont have any spware, adware, virus, my registry is clean as whistle, I have one wdow running in start up including through msconfig, I have cleaned the C drive, ran defrag and chk dsk, delteted lots of space as well I dont have a lot of ram 256 to be exact but that cant be the issue b/c my cpu never ran like this b4 now and my internet is slower than G.Bush pulling our troops out of the war I cant take it anymore I thought I could fix this considering I am some what cpu smart but now I need help also the defense I use is as follows A.V.G for virus, Ad-adware SE for adware, Spywareblaster and counterspy for spyware, cc cleaner for the registry, Mozilla Firefox for firewall I know I am cheap ha ha anyways need more n4m8n than feel free to email yeahwhodotcum@yahoo.co

The virus i have is attacking my yahoo messenger. It's sending everybody on it these links. My internet explorer went from my starting page being yahoo to a quicknote.com. I've downloaded and scanned through avg and healed them, but it's still messing around with my messenger. I've tried restoring my system but cannot do that. What else can I do?

Do these people really think that I'm going to log into my bank account because I get a badly worded email asking me to. Or, that I'm going to buy some stocks and shares because, shhh, its a 'secret' tip off from someone I've never heard of? Or even, that I'm going to buy some 'magic pills' to help my love life and I'll become a successful 'man' apparently.
How many of these emails actually get responses?

Every time i go back in a sentence and try and type something, the letter in front gets deleted and i have to type the whole sentence again... how do you fix this?

I can't find drivers on any discs that ive got so can i download sound drivers for free? ive tried and all i seem to get is "SPEND $24.00" which i think is a bit much when i already had sound before i reinstalled windows xp. somebody please help it's DRIVING me up the wall. everything stopped working. i had windows xp. i put in the recovery disk and still nothing worked. for a few days it was down. hated that. a friend came over and installed windows 2000, but things aren't working right. i can't stay hooked up to msn. and the color is horrible. it has only 16 whatevers. my pictures are mostly a blur. iv'e tried to download the service packs 1,2 and 3 but that does't happen either. i have dsl. now win 2000, explorer 6 . is there any way to get better color and to keep the internet going? thank you thank you

Okay, so I've had my dell computer up in my closet for awhile and decided to take it out since my regular computer broke. I'm using windows, and I had an administrator account thats password protected and a limited account which I'm on. I can not remember my password, it says to go back to another administrator account and change the other one, but won't let me since I only have ONE administrator account! IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!!! ok so i just got a mac a few weeks ago. and on it theres this thing where you can talk into the mic, and a voice wil answer but everythime i try to ask a question it doesnt ansr. it only answers to the question what time is it. does anyone know what this thing is for and how to use it?

I have a custom built computer built by my brother. It is in a black case with the top and the left side see threw with fans in the see threw part with lights, then in the front part it has blue neon lights on both sides on the front, with a strong blinking strobe light inside.
OK now it has 2 40gb seagate hard drives, the motherboard is a AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1600+ 1.40 GHZ, 512MB or RAM, its got 6 usb ports , two 10/100 network cards for high speed networking, then a CD-RW, and a DVD-R and CD-RW combo, a floppy disk, diamond monster 3dfx voodoo banshee graphics card, a mutimedia aduio controller, and much more it has windows xp pro rightnow but i have a windows vista home premium editon cd

please tell me if this is a good computer and how much do you think this is worth. THANK YOU
