The virus i have is attacking my yahoo messenger. It's sending everybody on it these links. My internet explorer went from my starting page being yahoo to a quicknote.com. I've downloaded and scanned through avg and healed them, but it's still messing around with my messenger. I've tried restoring my system but cannot do that. What else can I do?

Get an anti-spy-ware program and also a firewall.

The first thing to do is turn off system restore then use anti virus software to remove virus then reboot and turn system restore back on. If you do not turn off restore when you remove virus system restore keeps on restoring virus.

this is no longer a folder yet an exe document which appears like a folder and honestly a scourge. To delete. deploy Kaspersky antivirus, replace it via skill of internet and test entire computer. if u discover any concern, respond me

if u know exactly which file is the virus, then try to repair it, or quartine it or delete it. some time some virus files are sticky, unable to delete... then use tuneup utility.. it has a tool named file shredder... use it to delete the virus..
if u are unable to recognise which file is a virus the scan ur pc with latest virus defibition in safe mode...

download AVG again.
install it and run it and you'll probably be fine - good luck...
Else download a Norton trial...
