i copy and paste bits from websites on microsoft word and save them on my usb memory stick. when i get home i try to open them on my laptop. it has vista whilst the one in college has xp. when it opens it doesnt give me the full article or only half of it. should i save it on wordpad so it opens on my laptop with its nightmare vista??????????????

Bl**dy VISTA ... stupid IE security settings --- point is, these days, HTML scripted pages (on a USB stick or where-ever) could be used to take control of a PC or infect it with a Virus or worm.

So VISTA uses IE settings to decide if the HTML is OK - and by default, IE thinks a USB stick is on an 'untrusted' Web site !!!

I believe the 'solution' is to go into IE. locate the Internet Security options and tell it that the USB drive letter/name (K: or whatever) is a 'trusted' web site :-)
