I've heard that some certain DVD R disks works better with certain writers. I have NEC_DVD_RW ND-2500A, Is there anyone that knows a disk that has close to 100% success rate for that?

How should I back up my hard drive or the files on my hard drive? I've never done it before and I'm looking for suggestions. I don't necessarily want to save everything on the hard drive, just the important files. I don't know whether I should use an external hard drive, DVDs, CDs, flash memory or what. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When I plug in my usb mass storage devise I want it to always show up as the same letter so all my reg destinations and batch file destinations will always work on any computer.How can I do this.Is there a way I can change its drive letter after its been plugged in maybe through the registry

I want to make a batch file copy files from my external hardrive onto any computer but I have to have the destination of the files to be coppied in my command line.The problem is I want it to work on anyones computer and my external hardrive can show up as any drive letter making a destination in a command line invalid if my hardrive shows up as a different letter which is a good chance.Any ideas? thanks

While taking a print screen from running DVD, if i paste it into Photoshop it seens as a image but cant copy. is there any software availabe for that or any other source?

HELP!!

I'm a real dummy. LOL I had to reinstall Windows XP on my computer and because I'd never had any problems reinstalling Windows 98 I didn't even think to move/back up my important stuff. Now EVERYTHING on my computer is gone, including my internet access. I know that nothing is ever truely erased from a hard drive, so I guess my question is--is there any way at all that I can get or at least try, to retrieve some of the stuff I lost?

Ok, I am writing my essay but when going to start a new paragragh on the next page, it is starting halfwaydown the page, if I press back to go up a line it is just going back to the previous page. How can I get the paragragh to start on the next page level with the margins??

I was trying to make something for one of my co-workers and I was going to use the 'picture art' but none of the pictures will insert onto the page. It always comes up with a window that says "word cannot obtain the data for the C:/Documents and Settings... blah blah blah.
What is up with this? Why is it doing it and how can I fix it?

This has been asked before ( 11 months ago by someone else) Its nothing to do with hide inactive icons, and yes I have gone into volume control and ticked the box which says place volume icon in the taskbar, but like the other person, everytime i shut down the pc, it disappears, yet when i open the volume properties, it's ticked to say its on the taskbar, windows help and support only tell you to upgrade to sp2, (my o/s is xp and sp2) ...anyone have any clues as to why its not there, I can put it there, but on shutdown/ hibernation etc it goes........
