When I restart my computer (Windows Me), it always appears in safe mode even when I select boot in normal mode. It appears that when I shut down in safe mode my computer never fully turns off. Does anyone known how I can get it to boot in Normal mode without going into safe mode?

I edited and saved a photo, but I want the original back - It is still in its original version on my desktop wallpaper, so I know it exists somewhere, but all I can seem to open is the edited version that I don't want. I have Windows XP and I used PhotoFiltre software to do the editing.

So NASA is expecting to recieve the first ever Stereo 3D images of the sun today, April 23 2007.
My question is have they already received those pictures and posted them here

I.m making a new pc... I was thinking in use my old ATI Radeon 9600 pro 256mb in the new system, but it is AGP, and there are few motherboards with AGP slot and at the same time good and compatible with the new cpus. What do I do? Buy a new graphic card? Buy a cheap motherboard, that I will replace in a few months, when I buy a new graphic card, that will be PCI express? Buy a directx10 graphic card now, or wait a few more time, and now buy a pci express graphic card and a good mainboard?

Can you give me graphic cards models, that you think are good for replace my old one??

And direct x 10 cards???

What is best... a 8600 GTS 256 MB graphic card, that have directx10, or and ATI Radeon X1950, at the same price, but with no directx10??

I-m confused!!! I don-t know what to do.

I-m using Windows xp now.

Okay so my thing popped up saying i had ' a trojan which could not be cleared '

so i pressed delete (i think)
And then cleared my internet history files (and temporary files and cookies etc)
Then i scanned my computer and it said ' no infected files found '

So.. is my computer safe? have i managed to successfully delete it... or could it be hidden?

Nothing wierd has happened to my laptop...

But i'm worried...

I notice that when I have my computer on for long periods of time, or when I try to shut it down sometimes, the computer will freeze. I can attempt to restart or shutdown in either case, but I will keep clicking on the buttons without anything happening. When I press cntl+alt+delete to bring up task manager, the computer will take a long time to respond.

I've tried defragging and running a virus scan, but it doesn't seem to help.

I also find a serious lag time when I try to respond or ask questions on Yahoo Answers. My typing has about a 5 second delay from when I type to when my letters appear in the box. This has happened as long as I use Y!A on this computer as opposed to another one.

A friend turns on his pc and when he tries to click any username at the welcome screen, he gets a message telling him to authenticate windows. If he clicks No, it just goes back to the login screen, and if yes, another window appears saying "Your copy of windows is already authenticated." Then if he clicks OK for that, he goes back to the welcome screen, and he's back to square one, and cant get into windows.

Any help? Thanks.
