I notice that when I have my computer on for long periods of time, or when I try to shut it down sometimes, the computer will freeze. I can attempt to restart or shutdown in either case, but I will keep clicking on the buttons without anything happening. When I press cntl+alt+delete to bring up task manager, the computer will take a long time to respond.

I've tried defragging and running a virus scan, but it doesn't seem to help.

I also find a serious lag time when I try to respond or ask questions on Yahoo Answers. My typing has about a 5 second delay from when I type to when my letters appear in the box. This has happened as long as I use Y!A on this computer as opposed to another one.

One possibility could be a problem with the hardware itself such as your processor. I recommend checking with your manufacturer and their customer service about the problem. Another possibility maybe that the hard-drive itself have been infected by viruses in which case seek a local computer repair service.
