How do I reduce the bandwidth that I use? Each time I do normal surfing on the Internet I use up over 10 Mb?

Is there software I can Install that will screen the files I download for size, lets say no files over 0.5 Mb to be downloaded. Please Help

switch over to FireFox. Download add-on Adbock plus and IETab
Download Tautology B/w meter.

Open a web page in FF/with adblock Plus . note data downloaded . ( Go through tools/options in FF also )
Select IETab options and switch to IE.( from FF)
Note the data downloaded.
You will find at least 50% less download in FF.
The Tautology bandwidth meter shows you the daily/ monthly DL and UL.

All above for web surfing.. to inform you about the size of each website you visit
When you download (save)a web page in full all blocked data also. will be downloaded. So You should select the option carefully. I normally use copy/paste and save the info in Notepad.
You can not restrict the file size of programs, and they have to be saved in full.
