I was trying to make something for one of my co-workers and I was going to use the 'picture art' but none of the pictures will insert onto the page. It always comes up with a window that says "word cannot obtain the data for the C:/Documents and Settings... blah blah blah.
What is up with this? Why is it doing it and how can I fix it?

Can you fill in the blah, blah part?

It sounds to me as if part of Word has not been installed, and it's searching but not finding the piece you need.

It's also possible that the data is in a folder other than the one Word is expecting it to be in.

Personally, if I was going to make something that included art, I would use PowerPoint, because it offers a better ability to pick up the pieces and move them to where you want them.

Try Open Office a free office suite comparable to MS Office. Use the presentation program. You can save documents from Open Office in MS Office format. Open Office also comes with a portable version that runs on a USB thumb drive, that you can use on your work computer.

Its possible that that portion of Word was never installed or it was inadvertantly moved. Try installing that portion of the Word program. Or you can alway search on their site for clip art...
http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/default.aspx?lc=en-us
or at google images as well.

You fix it with a swift kick, then pick up the machine and toss it in the garbage. The go to your nearest apple store and get a real computer ;)
