I've heard that some certain DVD R disks works better with certain writers. I have NEC_DVD_RW ND-2500A, Is there anyone that knows a disk that has close to 100% success rate for that?

Buy QUALITY ones. Preferably Sony, or Verbatim.

Avoid generic or house brands, esp. brands you never heard of before. Examples: Playo, Swisstec, or just about anything made in China (it's not a dig, it's a fact).

Visit nomorecoasters.com for some general info on media quality.

well it's not really a matter of which DVD-R works best with what program, but the best way to make sure it all works fine is to get good DVDs and to get a different DVD burning program. i'd recommend you get NERO, that's pretty much the best software for burning CDs and DVDs.

I dont think it really matters. All that matters is the speed at which you're dvd r can write.
