I just upgraded from dail-up to Comcast high-speed and the speed hasntt improved much....could the problem be my computer?? If so, what can I do to fix it?

How can i rip from a copy protected dvd? I have a son who figures his way to my collection and i need to back them up. Every program/software i try states it cannot be ripped due to being copy protected. How do i get around it? Nero did not, nor did anything like it, prove useful.

i tried to listen to the horse racing commentaries like i usually do from ladbrokes.com, william hill.com and sportinglife.com, they usually work, i use them a lot, why havent i been able to hear them today or yesterday? all my speakers are set up fine!

i usually have 10gb memory free i download movies and stuff from bitlord usually i put them on disk then delete them and my memory goes back to normal but recently after i have deleted them the memory dosent go down it stays as if there still there what should i do? thanks

I'm using 2 images, 1 for question & other for answer..
i'll be putting 15 questions & answers on a page.. The image size is 2 kb..
each for question & answer.. will the image take time to load in each & every question, or will the browser just use cache & direct it to the source... In the end will the page load 60kb or just 4kb..

when i try to burn my downloaded films from isohunt using nero 7, it only gets to around 70% of it burned then it says burning process failed.... this happens every time I try.

does anyone know how to fix this?

I understand it's way more stable and reliable and simple, but I also understand it's not quite as powerful but it also doesnt have malicious software programmed for it that slows it down.

it is an XP.....the thing is, it is jus 3 days old. when i turn it on, everything is fine. but when i want to select a file or a folder, it takes such a long to open. why is this so?

It is driving me crazy logging off of one yahoo account and then onto another, just to find I need to go back to the original. Can I program this primitive machine to remember a line of text so that I may hit a key to paste one email address, then hit another key to paste another?

Somehow I lost wordpad, calculator and paint, and maybe some other things. I've been using MS operating systems since MSDOS 2, so am pretty computer saavy and KNOW I did not manually delete them and know the files themselves are gone, not just the shortcuts.

I also know how to restore them...what I want to know is what happened?

Anyone know why these things go bye-bye? It's a first for me (or first time I noticed anyway since they're kinda worthless).

Recently my computer starts to have all kinds of problems. I was able to get into Internet Explorer a couple time and then I'll receive the following message and I couldn't get in any more.


"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."

Things start to froze up and sometime it'll do a restart. No matter if it was a automatic restart or I shut it down myself, it'll always have a couple "END Machine" windows pop up before it'll shut down. What is happenning to my machine?
