I have a Windows XP machine and an Ipod Video 30GB. I have not enable hard disk use on my Ipod. Whenever I plug my 7in1 media card reader into a USB port on my machine, my Ipod will not sync. Itunes reports that my Ipod is in recovery mode and it needs to erase the Ipod to fix the situation. Erasing the Ipod does not fix anything.

If I unplug my media card reader, then Itunes will sync my Ipod with no problems. My father's new Dell with Vista has a built in media card reader. He has the same Ipod issue as me, but unfortunately unhooking the media card reader is much more difficult since it is internal.

I keep getting these junk emails for ordering prescriptions online. I don't know how they started and I can't stop them from coming. If I start getting junk emails that I don't want I always unsubscribe immediately, but these emails have no unsubscribe link or telephone number or anything like that. The emails do go to my junk box in Yahoo, but I still consider it a pain. Please Help!!

Geeks are social outcasts. They prefer to stay at home and interact with their PC or their games console. Have they been deprived of social skills as a result of their dependence on tapping away at a keyboard or fiddling with a joystick. Would their lives have been infinetely different if technology hadn't consumed them?

I am not able to play any sound file in the internet. (Say, http://french.about.com/library/media/wavs/bonjour.wav)

What could be the reason?

I know it is difficult to answer the question off-hand, without a background of the problem.

But are there some obvious mistakes I am making?

What are the internet browser settings I must change for the sound files to play?

Addl. info:

- I run IE 6.0 on a Win XP machine.

- My speaker is connected and works well.

(I can listen to the same .wav when I download them)
