Go to:

Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > Hidden Files and Folders > Show hidden files and folders.

Then right click on the file(s) > Properties > Uncheck "Hidden"

View the directory on the screen (via My Documents if you have to)
Select Tools then Folder Options then the View Tab
Scroll down the list to Hidden files and folders
Select the radio button for Show hidden files and folders
Click OK
Push F5 or do View/Refresh
Right click on the files/folders you wish to unhide.
At the bottom of the list is Properties
On the Properties at the bottom are the Attributes including Hide (and Read Only, etc.) Click Hide to unselect it (if you selected more than one file before right clicking, some of the choices and information in properties will be greyed or blank)
Click OK
Do other files if you have more.

You can always click on Tools in whatever folder you are trying to open hidden files in and then select Folder Options. Click on the View tab and there is the option to check Show Hidden Files. Click that you and you are set.

This works best if you do this in the My Computer window.
