All goes well until it gets to the writing to dvd stage then it just sticks! Two failures and then suddenly a surprise success, very frustrating!

The two most important things in writing a DVD are memory and hard disk space. So, I would maximize my available memory by not running unnecessary items (including those in the taskbar), and perhaps expand your memory. I would recommend at least 1G of memory. The 2nd item is disk space. You should always have at least triple the available hard disk space of the movie that you are writing. I would also check the fragmentation of your hard drive. If you have available space, but it is broken up in hundreds of little chunks, then that could be a problem. Run the defrag utility (overnight is the least invasive way to do this).

So in summary, don't run lots of other programs, maximize your memory, and have lots of contiguous hard disk space.

Try changing the media (discs) type/brand. This can greatly effect the burn process. Look online for the disc reviews. It does matter!

you should check the extention of file o files.then if it's ".mpeg" for nero software write this files to dvd. if it's not good. you should see to case for connection dvd rom cable.
