My buner is working fine.... I know this because I can burn perfect copies of original films using nero or dvdshrink.

Its only when I try to burn copies of downloaded files that it doesnt work......

Since YouTube hit it big, streaming movies and music have gone positively bananas. But such online media has a major flaw: You can't download it to your desktop and save it forever. However, here's how you can download streamed-media offerings of various types.

Record flash-based video (like YouTube and Google Video files) with KeepVid.com (http://keepvid.com/). Just enter the video's URL, and KeepVid converts it into an FLV file you can download. To play the file, use software such as VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). Better yet, convert the video to an .avi, .mov, or .mp4 file by visiting the FLV Online Converter (http://vixy.net/). These sites and programs are free.

i had exactly the same problem with nero 6.now i have 7 and it works perfect.beats me but hazard a guess and i would say re-install it,i never had original disc for Nero6 so could not reinstall, but always stopped about 75% and would take ages to get there, always ending in a failure to burn, but ,no probs now,got full Nero 7 and after eradicating a few minor teething probs, runs like a dream.good luck

I had this very same problem and I don't know why. The way that I fixed it was I burned to the hard drive first, then used DVD Shrink to burn the file...

Try going to this website... it has a lot of answers that I needed when I started doing the whole downloading thing...

've been burning movies for a while now, i had the same problem,i do it this way!! Select "make your own dvd video" in nero 7, it converts everything to vob format, which any dvd player plays! You can drag mpeg, avi's and if there bin files, download iso buster to get the dat file, if ther bin files!!
hope ive helped :o)

Nero's not always the most reliable software i would just try another program. There's quite a few free ones out there if you want to try a few different ones.

This used to happen to me also and there was nothing wrong with my burner. I Had my dvd burner checked and it was OK, I binned nero completely and I`m now using Allok Video to DVD Burner and it gives a perfect copy everytime :-)
