image rendering in internet browsers?

I'm using 2 images, 1 for question & other for answer..
i'll be putting 15 questions & answers on a page.. The image size is 2 kb..
each for question & answer.. will the image take time to load in each & every question, or will the browser just use cache & direct it to the source... In the end will the page load 60kb or just 4kb..

Are you on dial-up or ADSL or cable ?

On a dial up, a 60kb files will be loaded around 4 seconds.
On ADSL or Cable, a 60kb files will be loaded on less than 1 second.

On the first loading, if the browser cache are enabled, then the next click on dial up connection will take around 1-2 seconds.
