How do I go about making it "fresh and new" for him. I was just going to erase all of my old files and programs but my husband thinks this will be too time consuming and suggested I just re-install XP on it. Any ideas?

I have a dell computer, windows 2000 professional and I need to go back right to the beginning of my computer, Norton GoBack only seems to be able to go back a couple of days. I need to go back to the original setting but I'm unsure how to do it...

When I see some of these questions under computer help I just wonder why can’t some of these people just Google the question and do some research for them-selves? You know what I am saying... Some of the questions are too simple, so Why Ask?

I do all the right things. Buy the licensed programmes. Set up anti-virus etc etc. Then I get a message from microsoft prompting an update and foolishly I accept. Then all my programmes start running slow, become un-responsive, my e-mail changes to outlook, I can't find half the damned buttons I'm used to, the list go's on and on.
All the money these B***ards are getting out of me and they just make my life miserable.
MICROSOFT YOU STINK!! Stink bigger than a sack full of skunks.

Since installing IE7, I keep getting an error with PSAPI.DLL when my computer boots up. Is there anyway to get round this without having to go back to IE6, or do you think IE6 is the best bet.

i have hoards of computer accesories which i can sell but even as a seasoned p.c head i am not sure the way e-bay works
can anyone explain in simple terms how you set up a e-bay account and what type of stuff you need for payment ect
i can get a credit card,well in fact its a pay-as-you-go credit card,i can use whatever i pay into the card,its a new idea thats running where i live,you can also top up your card at any post office
so a quick idea of how to set up e-bay would be greatly appreciated

How does one know of find out if they have been effected by a viruses or trojans??? My security provider scans my computer daily and it says NO VIRUSES FOUND, but I am curious about the way viruses and trojans effect and spread to other computers. Is there another way to check to see if I am effected by these computers bugs, besides trusting my security provider??? PLEASE LEAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTION IF SO!!!! Thanx!

whenever i try to boot into my PC it says " the following file is missing or corrupt. \system 32\hal.dll. Please reinstall a copy of the above file........I have tried to replace Hal.dll from the i386 folder in the driver cache but it is still saying the same..............plz help

I just have switched from a iBook G3 to a MacBook until my iBook gets fixed (the charger exploded.) So anyway, I was wondering how to erase your history in the Mozilla Firefox browser. On my iBook, you just go to History and Clear History but I don't see that option on here. So, if you could answer that for me asap, gracias.
