Everytime my computer restarts or shuts down, when I switch it on again all the new data I saved or installed in it is lost!!!~ this just started last night...

You could have a virus or trojan on your PC. Reformat your harddrive and reinstall window will fix it. After everything is working you need to download a Antivirus, firewall and Spyware apps to keep it clean.

I have heard of Hardware that will (Purposefully) do this for corporations and security. But someone had to have physically installed this over night without your knowledge (assuming it is YOUR PC.) But not software. Even the windows system restore does not delete personal data usually? Could be a virus.

Try and do a system scan for any virus's, worms, or Trojan's first, and if all checks out okay, then do a system restore back to an earlier date when your PC was acting stable.

Go into your control panel, performance and maintenance,click system restore. Restore your computer to an earlier date. This should correct any problems you are having.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
