Ensure the taskbar is unlocked by right clicking on it, make sure th "lock the taskbar" is uncheked. You will know that it is unlocked when you can hover your cursor over the edge and it will let you change its size. Then left click and hold while over the task bar and drag it to the bottom of your screen.

Assuming you are using XP. Right-click on an "empty" part of the start bar and, in the menu provided, "unlock the Task Bar" Then with a left click and hold down on the start bar, you can move the Start Bar to where you want it

Yes all of the above answer but i just thought id tell about when my 2 yr old girl was messing with the mouse and i thought awwwww geek girl lol then later i went on the comp to find she had opened skype and was searching for contacts , then i discovered the task bar at the top of my screen and it was huge , took me 2 hrs to sus it out, i was doing sys restores and alll kinds , if only there was yahoo answers then !

hold down left mouse button while hovering over the bar, then move the bar to the position of the screen that you want the bar to reside

Left click on it holding the mouse button down then drag it to whichever side you want then let the mouse button go (dont click on an icon on the taskbar)

right click on the start bar and click lock toolbar this will actually unlock it then drag the toolbar to the bottom and let go of the button, then again right click and click lock toolbar. this will lock it in place again

Click and hold on a plain gray middle section then drag to wherever you want it to land on an edge (will go to either side, top or bottom)...

You probably already got your answer but just in case you didnt....drag it to the bottom ...put ur cursor on the menu then with ur mouse drag it to the bottom
