Our HP is one week old. Things have been smooth until I get a window from "Winferno Software" saying my computer is at "high risk" and it did a "Registry Error Report" and I have "502 Registry errors" Then it lists all the different errors and asks if I want to "Fix Registry Errors"

I think this happened after my wife downloaded some screensavers. Do I delete the downloaded files? Fix the Errors like it suggests?

The computer should be ok since it's so new right? Who can you trust?

yeah well i want to put more things on my xmas list .. something that has to do with computers .. not really computer ... do they have like those computer pens where u dont have to use a mouse for windows xp? for a dell computer? because i reli want onee! hellp! thankss !

I understand everyone is new to computers at some point, but why are their so many people out there that go to great lengths to remain computer illiterate and then brag about how computer illiterate they are? I would think ignorance is not a source of pride. As a tech, I tell the same people the same things over and over again. Some of these people seem like intelligent successful people, but they go out of there way to not learn anything.

What is wrong with the world?

I brought a movie from I-tunes, and my computer wont let me see it in the big screen; Like you know you have the control and you press the menu and it has all the things liek I-tunes,DVD,Videos Etc. When i click videos, it say no video in lib. SOS help what cna i do! ?

I spend more time reformatting my computer than then I do using it .The last time wich was just a few days ago I had zone alarm pro on and it did'nt even detect the viris and it total my hole computer.I was told zone alarm.Was the best but it did'nt help me.
I also have a problem with hackers snooping in my computer.please help this sucks

i have bearshare, limewire, real player and quick time on my computer adn everytime i play the music it plays all the way thru without pausing in and out then all of a sudden thru the speakers it plays the song but it pauses it for a second then continues playing. why does it do this? an someone please help me.

My laptop is at work and my pc is at home. My thought was that there was some kind of app I could download that could split a file into bits and when I get it home I could thread it back together. Another potential problem is that my laptop is a mac and my pc is windows =p. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Note: My laptop has a device attached to it so I can't take it out of the office without causing a problem.)

ok i have done all the follow:
right clicked on volume on the bottom right nothing is checked and its not on mute, the speakers are the monitor which is chosen for the speaker, so what else or things could it be, just installed aol on my dads puter and he has no sound pweaseeee help

My headphone jack in my computer is somewhat malfunctioning, I've tried it with 2 different headphones, and when the jack is ALL the way in, I can only hear off of one channel, but if I put the jack about 3/4 of the way in, I can hear both channels of my head phones. I know both sets of work because I've tried them in other devices, so I want to try cleaning the hole in case its full of dirt...

Are there any cleaning solutions that you can recommend?

So when I right click my taskbar and go to toolbars, it brings down the menu. I go to "New Toolbar" and choose one I've maid that has all the links to sites I visit on the internet for quick access. It stays there and works fine, but when I restart, or shut down my computer it disappears. When I log back in it's no longer there, nor in the toolbar drop down menu, so everytime I log in I have to go to new toolbar, and browse for it again. Why does it do this, and how can I fix it?

in properties it says that theres 89 mg bites taken. but theres nothing in the window that i can open. theres no hidden files so i cant open hidden files. ive downloaded recovry software but, i dunno. does any one have ideas on how i can get my work back. if i dont im gonna fail this cuarse. im gonna. die. any good recovery software that works. please help.

Im running windows xp, service pack 2. But Ive always had the problem that when ever I use the Start menu / Turn computer off / Turn off option my computer restarts.
Does any one have the same problem? Or even a solution?
