Open the file, copy the picture and paste it on paint brush and now click on save as & select bmp in the drop down options.

OR

1. Click on RUN in the Windows Start Menu
2. Type: mspaint. The Windows Paint application will open.
3. Search and open the JPEG file you want to convert.
4. On the 'File' menu, click on 'Save As' and select the 'Bitmap' format from the drop-down file type menu at the bottom of the box. Notice there are several sub-types of Bitmap format. I always choose 24-bit, otherwise, some colors may change.

NOTE: I'm curious as to why you want to go from JPEG to BMP. JPEG is a compressed format, so all you're doing is increasing the file size dramatically without improving the image. As far as I know, it's like changing an MP3 file to a WAV file.

You would actually have to change the picture itself. They are two different ways a computer "views" and image. Try opening it with another program that uses bmp and then saving it again. It will give you the bmp version of it.

You can do this in Microsoft Paint, which is the default image editor in Windows.

Simply open up your .jpeg file, click "Save as" and then in the "type" drop down box at the bottom select "24 bit bitmap format".

Voila!
