i can get a credit card, well in fact its a pay-as-you-go credit card,i can use whatever i pay into the card, its a new idea thats running where i live, you can also top up your card at any post office

You don't need a credit card in fact most sellers don't except them when you start with eBay you will get prompted to open a pay-pal account it's your own on line account completely secure and most eBay sellers and buyers use it you just pay for the item you have sold with a debit card from a current account and then pay-pal does the rest and when you sell an item thay pay via pay-pal and you can withdraw the money and it gets sent to your bank account within 5-7 working days i'm new to eBay and have found it very easy to use if you need any further help do contact me and i'll be happy to point you in the right direction

If you go to the EBay and Paypal Website you can read exactly what you need to do to set up an EBay a/c. also a Pay Pal a/c. (Paypal ia part of the Ebay network). When you set up your a/c you are asked to select which type of a/c you want, also which country you live in. You can hold 2 Paypal a/c's...one for business and one for personal use. You need an email address registered to one paypal a/c. When you enter your details as they appear on your bank or credit card statement also enter your landline phone number as you will need to verify your details once your initial spending limit (set by paypal) is used up. Do this as soon as possible. You also have to agree to paypal's user agreement which you should read carefully!!!
With regars to your queries about your top up credit card if you email paypal customer service they will answer all your queries. If you are not sure about the answer that you receive from paypal may I suggest that you call them.
Good luck with selling on Ebay but remember please read all your seller's policies and always follow the guidelines that are laid out in their policies because if you don't you will not be covered under their seller's policy.

Not to sell. When you set up your account only accept cheques or postal orders and then the money is sent directly to you. THe only thing you will need a credit card for is to pay ebay your selling fees, and I think the prepay credit card should work just fine.

With ebay you need to have a valid checking account. When you put in your card number it will check it. You need a bank name, and card number. They do this to make sure the money will be there when you buy an item. Also if you sell there are fees with each item that you sell.

I am also new to eBay and was advised to open a Pay pal account which i did. You link this to a current bank account or credit car and it acts as an intermediary account so nobody will find out your bank details. Try this I found it very easy to do.
