(1) In my office I maintain 30 computers all are in network.
(2) We have a Backup software using which we compress the files and take bkup (overwriting) and keep it in another machine (one among the 30 computers). This procedure we have been following for a long time. Due to this all the 30 computers’ hard disks are more or less full now.
(3) I tried taking the backup in DVD. First I will transfer the backup files to this system through network. Then I’ll try to write the backup files to a DVD. Most of the time the DVD gets corrupted. I checked the OS (Windows 98) and also the DVD software (Nero) for any possible errors and found they are OK. But since the system is in network and connected to Internet, multi tasking will go on. The system has “AMD AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2000+” processor and it has 128 MB RAM.
(4) Now my question is am I doing something wrong?
(5) Is the system configuration is low for DVD writing of files of bigger size?
(6) R there any simpler ways to take bkup?

Actually I have installed Windows XP SP2 with a particular product key and then when I am going to install some of the Windows softwares, then the O.S. is not able to pass the Windows Validation Test.So, I would like to change the product key of my Windows XP SP2. Please help!!!!!

Just got DSL, plugged into the new MAC it is slow as anything.
Plugged it into my old HP Pavillion and it zips along. We got the Mac cos the PCs mother board is on the way out. What a bummer!!

My computer randomly turned off! I was doing nothing out of the ordinary just on MSN Messenger doing NOTHING and BAM! It randomly turned off! I tried to turn it back on and it wouldnt...then I tried a minute later and it turned on and then turned off again!
I tried a 3rd time and now its fine!
What happened? I wasnt doing anything extreme and I have no viruses or spyware...so what happened?
Anyones help would be much appreciated!!

I bought a new Dell Dimension E510 a few months ago. I am not at all computer literate, but, I'll try my best here. It has, I think, 1GB memory (maybe 2GB don't know how to check and can't remember). So far, I have 80% of it free to use. (I have three different accounts. I share with roommates, though I have not given them administrator authority.)
Anyways, my computer works fine, except when I get online (and that's mainly what I want it for). It keeps freezing up every few minutes. I tried uploading that new mycrosoft update (uh... uploading, downloading, which ever way the loading goes), and that made it worse, so I did one of those System Restore to put it back like it was a couple of days ago. My internet connection is 3GB at its lowest 4GB at its highest. There seems to be no virus present. What am I doing wrong? Why can't I keep a connection going for more than a few minutes at a time? (God forbid I want to use a messenger, listen to music, and watch a video at the same time!

I dont know if this is even possible... but how would you go about saving a video from online like on ABC news or from You Tube or something to your computer? Like you can't just right click and save... is there a way to copy it? or is there a program I can download? Thanks :)

but the monitor is only available online but u can also have it sent to stores near you..only problem is that i dont use credit cards or non of hat mumbo jumbo for debt purposes so i was woundring if you could like have them ship it to the store and pay when u pick it up from there instead of pay before they ship it and pick it up for free if any1 knows ide be really happy.... thx

I have a Lexmark 3300 and I am having a problem. Nothing Will Print. I Can use the scanner and print things out that way so it isn't the actuall printing process that is screwed up but if i am in word and would like to print it won't work. I've opend up the little printer window and it says that says that the job is "Deleting- Printing". I have tried to cancel the job, pause it, and resume it but nothing seems to work. Please help me i need to print a paper out tonight!
The job that is "deleting- printing" is the one before the one I want to print and it is permently stuck there. And I have tried changing te priority as well but that didn't do anything.

each time i click on an avi movie to download, i get a pop up saying it is an un authorized file, and re-directs me to a web page for amazon. this is new. I used to be able to download anything. is this happening to anyone else or has my machine been blocked?
