before i had a router i could play 2 player games with my friend in another street now i have a router if i go to ipconfig command it doesnt give the right ip address to connect ip to ip games does anyone know a way to do this without unpluging the router it is a NETGEAR MR814 V3

I've downloaded the cutthroats game as an .iso its installed and now its telling me that it needs the cd to run. I just wanna know if there's any way around this or have I spent half the day downloading it for nothing?

I used to have my computer set to make me type a password for the desktop to appear but I don't want it anymore...I went to the user account settings and all I saw was to change the password not to delete one, so I just made it blank, but of course it still asks me for it and I have to have a blank answer and press OK...how do I take this off completely so I can start my computer and it go straight to desktop?

In Windows 2000 Pro machine with 2 hard disk. Disk 1 for the system files and disk 2 only for MS Office data. Both disks are dynamic. Disk 2 contains 200 MB unpartitioned space that you want to use to extend the volume on disk 2. When you right-click the volume, you notice there is no extend option available.

When I push a browse button (to choose a picture to upload) absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't open 'My Pictures' like it is supposed to.
Also, in browsers that have a button that is supposed to open up a cache of selections to choose from, won't open either. I have to literally guess what the options are and type them in. This really sucks.
The main question, however is why I can not browse my pictures to upload a picture and what I need to do to fix it.

How do I make the C: disk the bootable disk, so all software loads there instead of the very small E: disk. I would prefer not to format and fdisk my HD if possible, because I would need to reload all drivers etc.
Anybody technical enough to figure out a work around?

i got my computer fixed about a month ago. This guy i found in the yellow pages, was able to save my files and reinstall the Operating System, which was apparently the problem. when he brought it back i noticed the copy of windows xp(pro) that he installed had to be registered within 30 days. now that the 30 days are up it will not let me into my computer untill i register it. I tried to register it through the (idiots, who cannot speak english well) Microsoft Windows support number but they cannot speak clearly.....so to my question: How do i extract the files i have in my computer to an external HD, when my computer will not let me in? or how do i install a legal copy of Windows XP without erasing the files i already have on the comp.? (files such as .jpeg, mp3, bmp,psd and so on.)
