You need to get it to where the harddrive will boot from the CD drive. follow all the steps it says but you will also need a key code for it too.

I take it that you have a new version of windows xp that you bought with your pc. Open the cd rom and put in the cd. Then shut down the pc. Once it is off completely push the start button and start tapping the delete button. The pc will boot to the BIOS. In the bios set the primary boot to be the cd rom, hit CTR-ALT-DEL and the system will go into boot mode and boot from the cd rom. Follow the install and select all the defaults. Once it is complete, boot back into the BIOS and reset the primary boot device to be the disk 0, not disk 1.

You need to configure your BIOS to to use your cd or dvd drive as the first boot device. After you restart your computer and it detects the XP Cd you may need to hit any keyboard button to allow the PC to actually boot the cd, just follow the onscreen prompts if this is the case. Once the XP installation starts there will be a fairly easy to follow onscreen prompts. Just make sure you read what the prompts are telling you to do.

Not a bad computer. Has the Windows XP Installation CD been used already on another computer? Try getting a new one. Or else go to your "Start" button and click "Run" Then type in you CD drive name and get it started. Or you can go to "My Computer" and right click the mouse button and click "open". Find the setup or installation folder and do it from there. Hope this helps.

PXE media try failure pertains for your BIOS settings. this is the first ingredient your pc runs once you turn it on. What you ought to do is go into your BIOS placing (probable by using hitting the F2 key) and go into the settings that pertain to the boot order of the computer. make constructive both PXE is on the bottom of the list or disable all of it at the same time. aspect note: If this is already on the bottom of the order, then disable it for this would educate no matter in the journey that your hard drive is operating or no longer (or attached properly) being that this is prior to the PXE boot in the order of which the computer boots to.
