any programs u know of that can help, or any commands, would be very helpful and appreciated. i asked this question under software earlier, but not enough answers for any real help, so im asking here. have any questions ask, ill answer, and check bak in 2 min.

THAT REMINDS ME!!!

i am not able to FINISH a defrag. i have no idea y

The defrag program that comes with Windows is crap. Seriously.

You could download and install the fully-functional trial version of TuneUp Utilities 2006, here's a link:

http://www.tune-up.com

It has a whole bunch of optimization utilities including a defrag utility.

Follow the instructions carefully and try running some of the utilities, I think this will help improve your performance considerably.

Try running CCleaner to clean out your computer's temp files and Registry. Also, run a defrag on your hard drive.

u might want to try increasing your cache, right click on my computer, go to properties, adavanced tab, properties on performance, advanced tab again, you want to change your cache the first box to 1.5x's ur ram, and the max to 2x's your ram. good luck :)
