A clean-up won't help, hun, you need to re-install windows from new to solve corruption issues. Installing Windows itself is easy, just put the CD in and boot from it, and follow instructions. The problem is drivers for things like network cards and sound, they can be very hard to find if you don't know what you are doing.
Do you not have an IT person at work to help with this...or have you been naughty and need to remove the evidence ? ;-)

Find someone who knows how to fix computers and talk to them. Removing "unnecessary files" will not fix stack error messages and if you're not very careful, it will instead cause you FAR more problems. Don't just do something because your friend told you or you think maybe it will help.

I think you can go to you start menu (the bar in the bottom left corner that pops open) and go to settings the click on control panel. In there, go to add/remove programs. Hope this helps! Oh, by the way, dont delete anything without making sure it is uninportant.

Personally I would use ccleaner (as previously suggested) but make sure you read their user guide: http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1504
I would also download/run TuneUpUtilities from here: http://www.tune-up.com/.
You should also look in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel to see if there are any there that you installed and now don't want so can delete. BUT make sure you don't delete anything you are unsure about.
Good luck

As its a work pc its not your problem, plus you dont have the right to install software at work and will get blamed if anything goes wrong. This isn't your home pc so watch your back.
Tell your supervisor the pc is acting up and needs a service.

Ditto to what Sarah C said.
If it's a work computer, it's not your responsibility to fix it, and you might get in trouble trying to. It needs to be sorted by your IT staff so you don't lose anything that's one the computer
