Ok well for some reason my windows automatic update hasn't given me the chance to download windows xp home edition sp2..and i went to the windows and microsoft update sites and i can't find where to download it anywhere.Maybe i'm just stupid but where can you get it? Can someone get me a DIRECT link right to the place where you can actualy download it?

I hate to get to store to buy some DVD for storage and theres DVD+R and DVD-R, which one is the regular one? or what is the true difference between them? they seem to work equal. Thanks!

My computer is working fine. But whenever I open my yahoo mail box, everything freezes up. Then I have to ctrl-alt-delete, or turn off the computer. Since the first time, it never worked again. During the last 1 week, I tried about 10 times. It always freezes up and a 3-4 " vertical line appears in the middle. Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

I get a lot of spam in my email, as I am sure everyone does. What perplexes me is that I get the same email from quite a few different inidividuals and the names are eerily similar to the names in my address book or similar to people that I have emailed recently. In addition, the "subject" is similar to recent emails that I have sent. I wonder if these spamers have gained access to my outgoing emails. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? I can not block these emails because they are always different names and different servers.

Any information would be appreciated. I'd love to block them but I don't have a solution.

I have a .mkv file that contains a .ssa subtitle file. I am trying to make it into a DVD, but I don't know how to extract the subtitles, and once I do, I don't know what DVD authoring program would support .ssa files.

i put a file onto my jumpdrive that was around 150 megabytes and after i deleted it, the space amount on my jumpdrive didnt change. my jumpdrive only holds 246 megabytes but after i deleted the file, it can still only hold 100 something megabytes. its like the file deleted some memory off my jumpdrive after i deleted it? help anyone?

Ok, on Ebay today I posted the second of 2 gaming systems. I noticed it had a question posted and it was weird...someone said they were asking what the price was for the first one and asked if it was the same product and gave me an Ebay link to refer too...I went to check it to see if it was my previous one, first it brought up the log in screen for Ebay, and then when I logged in it took me to some random website. Turns out next time I checked my Ebay account the auction they inquired about was 'cancelled early for the highest bidder' and I never cancelled the auction. Did the buyer somehow scam me and now they have my Ebay account information??? The thing sold for $20 and is worth over $150 right now on Ebay.

Like when you press the ALT button and some letter or number a special character apears? My ALT button, when pressed along with another button/number never works. Any ideas as to make it so the ALT button can work with another key without bleeping?

What is the best way to refresh Windows XP short of reinstalling all software? Right now I am using SystemSuite 6 on a routine basis, I run Webroot's Spysweeper as well. My computer is working okay but it seems to hang now and then, especially when I do a shutdown.

Recently, my computer has been working VERY slow, and it was NEVER like this before, it always worked very quickly.
