I have windows xp home, there are three diferent user accounts set up. If you leave the computer for @2-3 minutes it logs you out and you have to reenter your user name. Where do I find the settings to change this, couldnt find it in the control panel

I know that you can delete stuff on your computer, it then goes to the recycle bin. But once you delete it from the recycle bin, its still on your computer right? Is there a way I can get rid of all this crap on my computer for good? If you know please help me out :) Thanks

how come every time i attempt to log onto myspace my computer gets a pop up that says due to unknown error internet explorer has to close. i sent the error report but its still doing it. i dont really care if i cant get on myspace too much but is there something wrong with my computer?

Whenever I open Windows Explorer, I see thumbnail folders. Then I have to right click to change to the detailed view. Also, I have to adjust the drop down box to show all files instead of just programs.

How to I *permanently* adjust my defaults to have the detailed view and all files...all the time?

I need to save some emails to cd from Road runner! I thought I did it right, but when I try to get them from the cd, it won't display. Also I get a privacy notice on the bottom!

My CD drive won't open. Only way it opens is if I stick a pin or something through the manual eject hole or whatever you call it. It's getting really annoying and I have to take a long time just to stick the pin in just right enough to open the CD Drive. It's really annoying.

I think my CD drive can't open is because there are two buttons. One's stop and the other one's play and pause or something. And the stop button I think also ejects, but when I press it, it doesn't work, and if I press the other button, if I have a CD in it, it plays.

Any idea what I should do?

Right clicking on the drive and clicking eject won't work. It just makes a noise in my cd drive as if it's about to open, but it doesn't.

Do NOT tell me to do the PIN THINGIE, because that's not helping or answering the question, that's just telling me to do what I dont' want to do.

I already asked this, but i'm asking again.

I have purchased a laptop with a dvd burner. However when I attempt to burn the dvd's they all say I cant copy them. I heard from a friend that I have to recode something? My laptop says DVD-Dual (Support DVD+RDouble Layer/DVD +(with a little minus underneath the +)RW. Can anyone help?

I erased my entire hard drive with a program called kill disc. then installed a pirate version of windows xp pro. I plugged in my high speed cable motem from my good computer to my now semi-restored laptop that i redid. im not sure whats wrong but it wont get online. I have a IBM thinkpad laptop. it has a phone jack and a jack for cable motem. plug in the cable motem but no internet when i open windows explorer...ive tried everything I know.
