I am trying to delete an item I entered by mistake in the ''run''box, and it will not allow me to delete it. I am doing it the normal way by hylighting it and clicking delete. Any ideas.......I would really appreciate. Thanks alot.

Looks like the only way to do this is to get into the registry because you have to go and tweak an entry there. Follow the directions in the website below for all the details:

You can clear most recently used info including recent documents opened by doing the following

Right Click on the Start Menu button
Select Properties
On pop up select the Start Menu Tab
Click Customize button
From next pop up select the Advanced Tab
At the bottom click the button Clear Lists

Why Couldn't you find it??? Microsoft made it soooo easy. :-)

You can also try the link below and install CoffeeCup Software's Privacy Cleaner. It also clears the frequently used lists.

I believe that Adaware the freeware anti spyware program will also clear the Most Recently Used lists as well
