I'm fairly certain the answer is no. You may want to refer to your manual to be positive, but according to the link I found your machine can only handle 512 max, which would mean 2 slots with 256 in each slot.

I have looked at the specifications on hp's website. You are at the max right now. You have a total of 512 MB's of RAM which is the max.

That max is what the thing is designed for! Unless you know something that the designers don't, 512 Mb is the max. addressed in the system!

NO! 2x256 is the max. Capacity max means no more than that amount

Download and run SiSoftware Sandra XI lite it will diagnose your system and tell you everything you need to now about it including how much and what type of memory you can install
