I can't run any new computer programs or update anything unless i run the programs from a "administrators account or privileges". What does that mean and what do i do?

windows xp-went and did the user accounts..help thing...i don't know how to change my account to an administrator account. help me please!

You need to log off from your account and hit ctrl+alt+del in login window write administrator, log in and there from control panel you can change your own account. Though you can know administrator password. Maybe there are no one, then try with blank. Otherwise you need contact person who installed your windows.

Go to Control panel ... User accounts ... click on Help and search in there to learn how you can reset your account to avoid the problem you have.

must xp. thats to protect your computer from others downloading or riunnig programs that will harm the computer system
