Please share your expeicence with internet phone service providers you have used. Can you use your current home phone also?

Just to let you know, there are a few different home phone VoIP services other than Vonage. voipreview.org will show you a comparison of these companies. Skype is not exactly the same as the others because it is software-based and you need a new phone that connects to your computer through a USB connection. VoIP phone services are great. They are a lot cheaper than the traditional phone services plus they have a lot of features. I have never had an issue with my vonage connection like the person described above. Go for it.

Vonage
advantage-- about $25.00a month, no long distance or local charges
disadvantage-- Have to turn off downloads when talking on the phone because you will be breaking up on receivers end.

by far the best internet phone co I think is skype, I have tryed a few and always go back to using skype,and yes you can use your home phone as well
